M&C screenMatt McCulloch and Carrie McCulloch, MD
As founders of Kinected, husband-and-wife team Matt and Carrie McCulloch, MD bring an integrative approach of physical health to the studio environment. Matt is a master Pilates instructor with years of experience educating movement professionals and training a broad spectrum of clients, including athletes, dancers, and injured populations. Carrie is a licensed physician, writer, and Pilates educator. Together, Matt and Carrie are committed to bridging the gaps between movement and medicine they experienced as colleagues in the fitness industry. To this end, they created the FAMI Workshop—an intensive anatomy and injuries program for fitness professionals held at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine—as well as other integrative resources for medical and movement professionals. With Kinected, they look forward to fostering a center that serves the comprehensive health and education needs of clients and instructors.

more about Matt
A classically-trained dancer, Matt began studying Pilates twenty years ago as part of his own rehabilitation program from an anterior cruciate ligament injury. He is trained in both original and contemporary approaches and brings a well-rounded perspective on movement to both his clients and students. A teacher at heart, Matt is committed to providing the highest quality education for movement professionals. Prior to founding Kinected, he served as an Instructor Trainer for STOTT Pilates and as Director of Training and Education Operations for Pilates Academy International. Over the past decade, he has educated several hundred instructors, creating workshops and teaching tools that promote a balanced knowledge of biomechanics and injuries. Additionally, Matt is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified trainer and a GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® instructor. As the studio director of Kinected, Matt oversees all clientele and education services. He works with a broad range of clients, including professional dancers, competitive athletes, and individuals recovering from injuries.

more about Carrie
As a licensed physician with a background in both movement and medicine, Carrie is passionate about creating integrative wellness experiences that take care of the body from head to toe. As the medical director of Kinected, she develops comprehensive wellness solutions that compliment a strong Pilates core. As an educator, Carrie builds innovative teaching tools that connect the body and mind. In addition to the FAMI Workshop, she co-founded living anatome, an award-winning program that teaches anatomy to medical students through Pilates and yoga. Together with Matt, Carrie is a member of the medical advisory board of TRIARQ, a community of healthcare professionals working together to create new standards in clinical and service excellence through continuing education, research, and cross discipline collaboration.
