What’s good care without integration?
Physical therapy works wonders to mend injuries, but its benefits can be limited by the steps you take after treatment.
With our comprehensive Injury Recovery program, you can integrate the progress made with our in-house physical therapy service into a therapeutic Pilates program that will keep you moving for the long run.
The Kinected Injury Recovery program offers you a team of physical therapists and Pilates instructors who work in tandem to teach you about your injury and get your body back to a happy, healthy, functional baseline.
Individuals are first evaluated by our staff at Kinected Functional Manual Therapy (KFMT), who expertly assesses your needs, customizes a treatment plan, and cares for your injury with advanced manual therapy and muscle-energy techniques.
When you are ready, KFMT team will then work side-by-side with our seasoned Pilates instructors to progress you from hands-on modalities functional exercise. Pilates equipment and injury-modified exercises are utilized to progress you in a safe but still engaging environment.

Prescription and Direct Access
You may begin a physical therapy program without a doctor’s prescription. In New York state, patients are able to be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist without a physician’s referral, called Direct Access. Some insurance plans, however, may still require a consult with a physician first, in order to be reimbursed for services. It is best to check with your insurance provider to determine if it requires a prescription from your primary physician in order to be eligible for full coverage. Direct Access treatment can be rendered by a licensed physical therapist for 10 visits or 30 days, which ever comes first; after one of these requirements has been reached, a physician’s referral is necessary to continue treatment.
Health Care Communication and Referrals
If you are currently receiving care from another provider (a doctor, physical therapist, etc.) and would like for us to establish a dialogue with that individual, please let us know. We will happily reach out to coordinate your care.
PT? Pilates? The choice is yours!
Our physical therapy and Injury Recovery programs offer you a wide range of rehab options. The programs are not all-or-nothing, however. You can opt for just PT, or just Pilates, depending on your needs and stage of recovery. We strongly recommend that all individuals seeking care for an injury receive an initial evaluation from our physical therapist, who will evaluate your needs and help you make an informed decision.
need a referral?
We are committed to creating a communication thru-line between your health care providers. If you are currently receiving care from another provider (a doctor, physical therapist, etc.) and would like for us to establish a dialogue with that individual, please let us know.
We’re also happy to use our experience and contacts to help you find the care you seek. Please email email@example.com with your questions or concerns.
