Marci Rubin

Senior Instructor

Fave muscle? “Quadratus Lumborum because it has vexed me for so long and taught me about the relationship of the abdominals to the deep back musculature.”

Marci attended the Kane School in 2014 after studying and teaching alignment-based yoga for over a decade in group and private settings as well as to the New York City Ballet. Studying at the Kane School greatly enhanced Marci’s practical and experiential understanding of therapeutic movement progressions, anatomy, and biomechanics and it has completely altered her personal movement practice and the trajectory of her career. Now, as a full-time pilates teacher, Marci works primarily with clients dealing with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, various spinal conditions, and hypermobility. She also specializes in working with prenatal and post partum clients. When she isn’t teaching in NYC, Marci lives part-time in the Catskills with her husband—where she enjoys swimming, hiking, cooking, and playing with her dog Larry! Book with her now!
