Instructor Spotlight: Dominique Beaumont!

dominique headshotMeet Dominique!

We are thrilled that she will be joining us from London this summer, guest teaching for the months of July & August. She trained with Europe’s largest Pilates school, Body Control Pilates. With a background in professional athletics and a particular interest for anatomy and rehabilitation, she has worked alongside some of the best Pilates educators, continuing her training in the UK and NYC (with this year’s upcoming FAMI workshop!).  Dominique regularly trains athletes, helping them to stay injury-free and successfully works with clients suffering from a range of injuries and pathologies. Her passion is in working with her clients to functionally strengthen, condition and balance their bodies, enabling them to live pain and injury free.  She is also passionate about teaching — working as a teacher trainer mentoring students and guiding them through their training. She has had  additional education on low back pain, should & neck injuries, pre & postnatal care & rehabilitation.

Fun facts:

–Dominique sticks to a regular routine that includes Pilates, yoga, running, cycling and spinning.

–Each year she chooses a charity challenge to participate in — past adventures have included cycling from London to Paris, climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours and completing a triathlon.  This year she has signed up to complete the walkthewalk marathon while she is in NYC to raise money for breast cancer research!

–She regularly works with teenage professional tennis players, squash players and runners!

She will be teaching our Monday 8am reformer, Tuesday’s 1:15-2:30pm int-adv Pilates mat, and a special masterclass on Monday, 7/15: 12-1:15pm: dynamic duo: the breath & the center!  She will also have hours open for private & semi-private sessions on Monday mornings, Tuesday mornings & Tuesday evenings.

Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to work with her this summer before she heads back to the UK — a truly amazing opportunity!
