24 May student spotlight: meet marion!
meet marion spencer, our student spotlight for May!
marion spencer is a professional dancer, choreographer, interdisciplinary artist and dance teacher. She has been teaching dance & movement practices for over a decade. She is so excited to be joining the Kane School community as she completes her Mat + Equipment Trainings!
One of marion’s favorite things about Pilates is its focus on refining our capacity to feel smaller things, as Kelly Kane says. She is humbled by how Pilates supports her to slow down, breathe and be in her body, while also organizing and moving her.
Pilates is a system of organization that has supported marion physically and mentally throughout her artistic career, and she is excited to start offering this system to others as a Pilates teacher. Starting THIS WEEK, you can take her Pilates Group Springboard Classes at Lula Body in Crown Heights on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays! marion’s classes focus on alignment, stability, strength, breath, balance & flow, that get all bodies moving in all directions in the Kane School way! Access, inclusivity & curiosity are core values of her teaching practice.
marion lives in Prospect Leffert Gardens, Brooklyn with her dog, Xochi. You can learn more about marion here, learn more about the Kane School here!
